Privacy Policy

Streampal ("Streampal", "we", "us" or "our") operates the website at streampal.gg and the related creator tools and services. We are the data controller responsible for your personal information. If you have any questions about this policy you can reach us at privacy@streampal.gg.

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign up with a password, a securely hashed version of that password. We never store your password in plain text.

Connected platform data. When you link a platform such as Twitch, YouTube, Kick or TikTok, we receive the information that platform shares with us through secure authorisation, which may include your username, profile picture, email and an access token. We do not receive or store your password for those platforms.

Usage and technical data. We collect basic technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you interact with our dashboard, so we can keep the service secure and improve it.

Support information. If you contact us or submit a ticket, we keep the messages and details you provide so we can help you.

Payments and payouts. When you buy a plan or top up PAL coins we record the transaction, the method and the amount. Card and crypto payments are handled by our payment providers, so your card number and your wallet keys never reach us. If you earn on Streampal we also hold the payout wallet addresses you give us and a record of what we sent you.

Content you create and upload. Clips and video you upload, overlays you design, recordings and scenes on a streaming server we run for you, the images you upload to the green screen and face tools, your profile text and schedules, and the messages sent through tips, paid text to speech and song requests.

Activity on the service. Clips you submit and the view counts we read for them from the platform they are posted on, campaign and competition entries, bookings, your PAL balance and the ledger behind it, and the referrals credited to you.

Locations you record. If you use the coverage map, the points, routes, labels and notes you save about signal in a place are stored against your account.

Community connections. If you use go-live alerts or open a support ticket through Discord, we store the webhook address you give us and your Discord user id.

We use your information to:

Provide and operate your account and the Streampal dashboard, connect and sync your streaming platforms, deliver the services you request, keep the platform secure and prevent abuse, respond to your support requests, and send you important service messages. Where you have agreed, we may also send you product updates. We rely on your consent, the performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable service as the legal bases for this processing.

We also use it to pay what you earn from clipping, bookings, tips and commission, to review clips and campaigns, to produce the renders, overlays and audio you ask for, and to keep the records that accounting and tax rules require.

Linking a platform is done through OAuth, an industry standard that lets you grant access without sharing your password. The access tokens we receive are stored on our servers only and are never exposed to your browser or to other users. We use them to provide the features you enable, such as account sync and analytics.

You can disconnect a platform at any time from your dashboard, or by revoking access in that platform's own connected apps settings. Once revoked, the associated tokens can no longer be used.

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. These are required for the service to work. We do not use third party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling essential cookies may stop you from signing in.

With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our public pages, through heatmaps and session recordings in which anything you type is hidden. Clarity sets its cookies only if you choose "Accept all" in our cookie notice, and it does not run on the sign-in, dashboard or payment pages. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Passwords are hashed, data is encrypted in transit, and platform tokens are held server side only. Access to personal information is limited to the people and systems that need it to run the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

The green screen and face tools use your camera inside your browser. The video does not leave your device: the keying, the cutout and the face tracking all run locally, and no part of the feed is sent to us or to anyone else.

The images you choose to upload are different. A backdrop or a face photo is stored in your own folder of our storage so the tool can use it again. Removing it in the dashboard deletes it, and deleting your account deletes them all.

Paid text to speech sends the message text to our speech provider to produce the audio, and automatic captions and translations work the same way. Streampal does not use your content to train models.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run Streampal, such as our hosting and database providers, and only so they can perform services on our behalf. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting and security obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Uploads you delete are removed from storage. Payment and payout records, and the PAL ledger behind them, are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require, including after an account closes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@streampal.gg. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Some of our service providers may process data in countries outside your own. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your information receives an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

Streampal is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know through the service.

When you connect your YouTube account, Streampal uses YouTube API Services to provide your creator tools. By linking YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and your use of Google data is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

What we access. With your permission we read your channel profile, subscriber count, and the statistics of your videos and streams (such as views and likes) so we can show your analytics and follower stats, and, where you use those tools, we send live chat messages and update your live broadcast on your behalf. We only access this data to power features you actively use, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.

Storage and retention. We store only what is needed to run these features, including access tokens (held server side) and cached profile and stats data. We refresh this data from the YouTube API and delete stored YouTube data when you disconnect your account or delete your Streampal account.

Revoking access. You can disconnect YouTube at any time from your Streampal dashboard, and you can revoke Streampal's access to your Google account through the Google security settings page.

Limited Use. Streampal's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google or YouTube data to serve advertising, and we do not sell it or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the features you use.

When you connect your TikTok account, Streampal accesses your TikTok data through TikTok's official API, subject to the TikTok Privacy Policy.

What we access. With your permission we read your TikTok profile (display name, username, avatar and profile link) and your account statistics such as your follower count, so we can show them alongside your other platforms in your dashboard. If you use our clip tools, we also read your list of videos and, only when you explicitly choose to, publish a video you create to your own TikTok account on your behalf.

Revoking access. You can disconnect TikTok at any time from your Streampal dashboard, or revoke Streampal's access from the app-management settings in your TikTok account. We delete stored TikTok data when you disconnect or delete your Streampal account.
