Lesson 1 of 8

What clipping is

The whole job in one minute.

Clipping, in one line

You take the best moments from a streamer's live stream, turn them into short vertical videos and post them. You get paid on the views those clips get.

What you need

A phone or a laptop. No followers, no experience and no paid software: the editor is built into your dashboard.

What do you get paid on?

Answer: The views your clips get. Views. Ten clips nobody watches pay nothing; one clip that takes off pays well.

Lesson 2 of 8

Your road to direct

Start with us, grow, then go direct.

Two ways to get paid

Clip for Streampal and we pay you. Clip direct and clipping.net pays you, but only once your own account clears their bar.

The plan

Clip for us and you earn from day one. Meanwhile, grow your own account: share your clip links in the X communities and post your own clips in between. Once it clears the bar, go direct and keep 100%.

  1. Clip for Streampal. Earn from your first clip. No followers needed.
  2. Grow your account. Share your clip links in the X communities and post your own clips in between.
  3. Go direct. Clear clipping.net's bar and keep 100%. Join through our link and get 3 months of the Pro editor free, worth $45.

You have no followers and want to start today. Which path?

Answer: Clip for Streampal. Clip for Streampal has no follower minimum and no qualifying period. Plenty of clippers start here and go direct later.

Lesson 3 of 8

Set up your account

Name, free logo, new account, warm up.

Pick a name

  • Short and easy to say. If someone hears it once, they can find it.
  • Say what you post. Clips, highlights, moments. People should know what they will get.
  • One name everywhere. Check it is free on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and X before you commit.
  • No random numbers. Underscores and years make it look like a spam account.

Never pretend to be the streamer. No "official", and not their name on its own.

Which name is best?

Answer: RingsideClips. Short, easy to say, tells people what they get, and does not pretend to be anyone.

Make a logo for free

Open a free AI image tool, like ChatGPT, Canva or Microsoft Designer. Type your name below, copy the prompt and paste it in.

Pick the right one

  • Check it small. Your logo shows up tiny next to every post. If you cannot read it at thumb size, try again.
  • Bold and simple. One or two colours on a plain background beats a busy picture.
  • Square, and the same everywhere. Download it square and use it on every platform, so people know it is you.

Set up the account, step by step

  1. Start with TikTok. It has the friendliest algorithm for new accounts. Add the others once you find your rhythm.
  2. Use a fresh email. Keeps your clipping accounts apart from your personal ones.
  3. Claim your name. Sign up and set the username you picked.
  4. Add your logo. Set it as your profile picture.
  5. Write a one line bio. Say what you post, for example: daily clips from Kick streams.
  6. Keep it public. Views on a private account cannot be tracked, so they cannot be paid.
  7. Post a little first. A few clips on the profile make it look real before you start sending links.

Warm it up before you post

  • Follow your niche. Follow the streamers you clip, other clip accounts and the big pages in that scene.
  • Watch like a viewer. Scroll and watch clips like yours all the way through. The app learns what your account is about.
  • Like and comment. Real comments on other clips in your niche. People click through to who wrote them.
  • Post every day. One or two clips a day beats ten on a Sunday. The apps reward showing up.
  • Reply to your comments. Every reply is another comment on your post, and people come back.
  • Never buy followers. Fake followers do not watch, so every post reaches fewer real people. It can get the account flagged too.

Spend ten or fifteen minutes a day on this for the first week. Then keep it going between posts.

Your new account has zero followers. What first?

Answer: Follow, watch and comment in your niche for a few days. The app needs to learn what your account is about, so your first posts land in front of the right people.

Your account is set to private. Do its views count?

Answer: No, it has to be public. Views can only be tracked on a public account.

Lesson 4 of 8

The rules

Break one and the clip will not count.

Every clip has to follow these

  1. From a Kick stream in the last 30 days.
  2. With the streamer's banner on it. Pulling a Kick clip adds it for you; on your own upload, pick it yourself.
  3. No nudity, no NSFW and no gambling clips.
  4. No view botting or fake engagement.
  5. If our team posts your clip, push it: like, retweet and comment on it, and post its link in the streamer's X communities.
  6. If our team posts your clip, do not post it yourself first. Wait until our post is live.

Allowed or not?

  • A clip from last night's Kick stream: Allowed. Inside the 30 days, so it counts.
  • A clip from a stream six weeks ago: Not allowed. Older than 30 days, so it will not count.
  • Your own upload with no streamer banner: Not allowed. Every clip needs the banner. Pick it under Brand, Streamer overlay.
  • A big win on a slots stream: Not allowed. No gambling clips, however good the moment.
  • Posting it yourself after our post is live: Allowed. That is the right order: ours first, then yours.
  • Posting it yourself before we post it: Not allowed. Ours would look like a re upload of yours, so it cannot be sent in.

Lesson 5 of 8

Clips that get views

What separates a dead clip from a paid one.

Six things that get views

  • Fresh clips win. Last night beats three weeks ago, even inside the 30 days.
  • The title sells the click. Tease the moment. A bit of clickbait is fine if the clip pays it off.
  • Hook them in the first second. Start on the moment, not the build up.
  • Cut the dead air. Short and tight beats long and slow.
  • Add captions. Lots of people watch with the sound off.
  • Pick moments people react to. Big wins, fails, rage, chat going wild.

Where should your clip start?

Answer: On the moment, or just before it. If nothing happens in the first second or two, people scroll.

Two clips, both inside the 30 days. Which usually does better?

Answer: The one from last night. People are still talking about last night. Clip the newest streams first.

Lesson 6 of 8

Make your first clip

From a Kick stream to a submitted clip.

Your first clip, step by step

  1. Pick a streamer. Open Clipping in your dashboard and choose a campaign.
  2. Pull a clip. Type their Kick channel, tap Get clips, then Edit clip. The banner is already on.
  3. Cut it. Trim it down to the moment.
  4. Make it yours. Pick a format, a fill and a caption style.
  5. Render and send. Render it, then tap Post for me, or submit it yourself.

Uploading your own video?

Nothing is picked for you on an upload. Open Brand, then Streamer overlay, and choose the streamer's banner before you render.

You upload a video from your camera roll. Is the banner on?

Answer: No, I pick it under Brand. Only a pulled Kick clip gets the banner by itself. On an upload you pick it.

Lesson 7 of 8

Push it and get paid

The last step most new clippers skip.

Once we post your clip

  1. Open it from My clips on the Earnings tab.
  2. Like it and retweet it.
  3. Copy the clip's link and post it in the streamer's X communities.
  4. Leave a comment on it.

A clip on a few hundred views with no likes, retweets or comments from you gets deleted.

How the money works

  • 1,000 views and a clip starts earning
  • 75% of what each clip makes is yours
  • 4th of each month the period closes (23:59 EST)
  • 16 days later, roughly, the money is paid

Your clip is on 800 views. Is it earning yet?

Answer: Not yet. A clip starts earning once it passes 1,000 views. Push it and it gets there.

Lesson 8 of 8

Go direct

When your own account is ready.

Grow while you earn

  • Share your links in the X communities. Copy the link to every clip you post and drop it in the streamer's X communities. The fans are already there, so it is the quickest way to real views on your account.
  • Post your own clips in between. Make extra clips you do not send to us and post them on your own account. More posts means more chances for one to take off.
  • Repost ours once it is live. When we post a clip of yours, post it on your own account too, after ours is up.
  • Keep the warm up going. Follow, watch, like and reply in your niche between posts.

Do all four every week. This is what gets your own account to the bar.

What gets your own account the quickest real views?

Answer: Sharing your clip links in the streamer's X communities. The fans are already in those communities. Share every link there, and post your own clips in between.

Are you ready to go direct?

  • 850 or more followers
  • 1.5M views in the last 30 days (28 on TikTok)
  • Posting streamer clips for a full month
  • 30 or more Kick clips posted that month

3 months of the Pro editor free, worth $45. Meet all four, then sign up to clipping.net through our link. You get Clip Studio, the Pro editor, free for your first 3 months.

When should you go direct?

Answer: Once my account clears all four. Until then clipping.net will not pay you. Clip for us, grow, then switch through our link for 3 free months of the Pro editor. Plenty of clippers keep doing both.
