How clipping payouts work, from posted clip to wallet
A clip earns once it is approved and past 1,000 views. This is every step after you submit it, in the order it happens.
The short version
- You submit the clip on the Submit a clip tab, as a link or as a video for our posting team.
- A reviewer approves it, or rejects it and tells you why.
- Its views are read from the platform it is posted on. Once it passes 1,000, every view on it counts.
- The cycle closes on the 4th of each month, 23:59 EST.
- About 16 days later the money goes to your payout wallet, less the transfer fee, and an email tells you how much.
Submitting a clip
Clips go in through the Submit a clip tab of your clipping dashboard, and there are two ways in. I posted it is for a clip already live on an account of yours that we have whitelisted: paste the link. You post it is for everything else: upload the video with a caption and hashtags, and the posting team publishes it on Streampal's accounts on X or YouTube. The live links come back to your clip by themselves.
Posting on your own account before it is whitelisted is the most common reason a clip is rejected, because a clip there cannot be paid however many views it gets.
If you made the clip in Clip Studio, its Post for me button sends the render to the posting team the same way, without downloading it first. Either way, pick the streamer the clip is for: that choice sets the rate it earns at.
Review
A person checks every clip before it can earn. An approved clip shows under My clips on the Earnings tab. A rejected one comes with the reviewer's reason, in your notifications and by email, and the reason stays written under the clip.
Think a rejection is wrong? Reply to the notice. It reaches the team as a support ticket.
When the posting team publishes your clip, push it: like it, retweet it, comment on it and quote tweet it in the streamer's X community. A team post on a few hundred views or less, with no likes, retweets, comments or quote tweets from you, is deleted.
How views become money
Every clip earns at its streamer's rate, quoted per 1,000 views, and on the Streampal program 75% of that rate is yours. Nothing counts until a clip passes 1,000 views. Past that the whole count is paid on: a clip one view short of 1,000 earns nothing, and the same clip at 1,000 is paid on all 1,000.
On the top campaign right now that is $40 of campaign rate per 100,000 views, and $30 of it in your pocket.
Views count until the cycle the clip was filed in closes. Once a clip is paid, its views, rate and amount are fixed: views it gains afterwards do not change what it was paid, and a later change to the streamer's rate never reaches a month already paid.
The cycle and the payout date
A cycle runs from one cutoff to the next. A clip belongs to the cycle it was filed in, and the money follows once that cycle has been checked: every count verified against the platform, and any clip pulled or hidden since it was counted caught before anything is sent.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Through the cycle | You submit clips, and their views are read as they grow. |
| 4th of each month, 23:59 EST | The cycle closes. Anything filed after the cutoff belongs to the next one. |
| About 16 days later | The money is sent to your payout wallet, and an email tells you how much. |
Your payout wallet
Payouts are sent in crypto to an address on your Payout Wallets page, under Wallets in the account menu. It takes USDT (Ethereum ERC-20), USDC (ERC-20), Bitcoin, Ether and Solana addresses. Save one before your first payout date, or there is nowhere to send it.
The transfer fee is 1% on USDT and 5% on every other network. It comes off the money as it is sent, not off what a clip earned, so your earnings figure and your place on the leaderboard do not move. A USDT address gets the lower fee.
Check the address twice. A payout sent to a wrong address cannot be recovered.
Earn on other clippers' payouts
Your referral link is on the Earnings tab. Anyone who signs up through it and clips on the program earns you 5% on top of every payout they get, and it never comes out of theirs.
Common questions
When do I get paid?
About 16 days after the cycle closes on the 4th of each month, 23:59 EST. A clip is paid with the cycle it was filed in.
Why is my clip earning nothing?
Usually because it has not passed 1,000 views yet. Below that a clip earns nothing; once it passes, every view on it counts. If it was rejected, the reason is in your notifications.
How am I paid?
In crypto, to the address you save on the Payout Wallets page. USDT carries the lowest transfer fee, 1%; every other network is 5%.
Does Streampal pay direct clippers?
No. Direct clippers post on their own accounts and clipping.net pays them, with no cut to Streampal. Clips submitted to Streampal are only paid on the program.
