Why clips get rejected: the rules, and 76 real rejections

Almost every rejection comes down to a handful of things, and nearly all of them are settled before you post.

The rules

  • The clip is from a Kick stream in the last 30 days.
  • It carries the streamer's banner. Both editors add it when you pull a Kick clip; on a video you upload, pick the streamer's banner yourself.
  • No nudity and nothing NSFW.
  • No view botting and no fake engagement on your links.
  • If our team posts your clip, you push it: like, retweet, comment on or quote tweet the post, including in the streamer's X community.

What the rejections actually said

Between July and 4 October 2026, reviewers rejected 82 clips. In September it was 67 of 537, about one in eight. Of the 82, 76 came with a written reason, and almost all of those fall into a few groups. Some clips had two reasons, so the rows add up to more than 76.

The wrong account, behind almost half

On the Streampal program, a clip earns when it is posted on an account that is on the program: one of Streampal's, or an account of yours that we have whitelisted. A clip posted on your own account before that cannot be paid, however many views it gets, and it was the reason behind 37 of the 76 rejections.

The fix is the You post it option on Submit a clip. Upload the video with a caption and hashtags, and the posting team publishes it on X or YouTube for you. Clip well for a while and we will whitelist an account of yours, so you can post straight to it.

If your accounts already clear clipping.net's bar, 1.5 million views in 30 days and 850 followers, the direct route pays you on your own accounts instead, and Streampal takes no cut.

The banner

Every clip needs the streamer's banner to be paid, and 21 rejections were missing it. Pull the clip from Kick in either editor and the banner is added for you. On a video you upload, pick the streamer's banner yourself before you export.

The only marks that belong on a clip are the streamer's banner and Streampal's own. A clip carrying another site's watermark is rejected too.

The platform's own rules

YouTube, X and TikTok decide what they show. Five clips were rejected for hate speech that breaks YouTube's guidelines, and four because the platform had quietly held them back: shadow banned over things on screen, such as a cigarette or a gel gun being fired. A clip the platform will not show cannot earn.

Nudity and anything NSFW are not allowed on the program at all.

Duplicates and dead links

A clip can be submitted once, by anyone. Sending the same clip twice, or one someone else already sent, is rejected as a duplicate.

Keep the post public and up. A clip that is private, deleted or will not open cannot be counted, so it cannot be paid.

If your clip was rejected

  • Read the reason. It is in your notifications, in your email and under the clip on the Earnings tab.
  • If it can be fixed, such as a missing banner or the wrong account, fix it and send it again as a new submission, through You post it if it has to go on our accounts.
  • If you think the reviewer got it wrong, reply to the notice. It reaches the team as a support ticket.
  • If a reviewer could not tell when the stream was, a link to the VOD settles it.

Common questions

Can I resubmit a rejected clip?

Yes, as a new submission once the problem is fixed. A clip that was on the wrong account goes back in through You post it, and our posting team publishes it.

How old can the stream be?

30 days. The clip has to come from a Kick stream in the last 30 days, and if the date cannot be told from the clip, a link to the VOD settles it.

Can a clip be rejected after it was approved?

Yes. Earnings on a clip can be withheld or reversed after they were counted, for example if its views turn out to be botted.

Do I have to push the clips the team posts?

Yes. Like, retweet, comment on or quote tweet the post, including in the streamer's X community. A team post on a few hundred views or less with nothing from you is deleted.
